The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida. They are members of the Southern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The franchise was founded as an NFL team in 1976 by Hugh Culverhouse. The team has played 612 games in 39 seasons since joining the NFL. Leeman Bennett and Lovie Smith have the lowest winning percentage (.125) of all Buccaneers coaches. The eighth coach, Raheem Morris, was fired on January 2, 2012. On January 26, 2012 Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano was hired as the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach.
